Nevaryn Investments · LAB

Research before
conviction.

LAB is Nevaryn’s private experimental fixed-income research environment. It supports research and decisions concerning the founder’s own capital. No client funds are involved.

Research framework

A laboratory,
not a portfolio
showcase.

LAB exists to study ideas rather than present a finished investment doctrine. Research may include government bonds, corporate credit, floating-rate instruments, primary market activity, spread behaviour and unusual market situations.

Public information remains intentionally high level. Portfolio details, infrastructure, internal analytics, unpublished research notes and operational tooling remain private.

01Research process

Observe

Monitor market structure, relative value, liquidity and dislocations before forming a thesis.

02Research process

Test

Translate observations into explicit hypotheses and test them under controlled conditions.

03Research process

Measure

Track outcomes over time and compare results with the original research assumptions.

Research context

Data and methodology

LAB uses publicly accessible data, primarily from official institutions, exchanges and issuer disclosures. Different algorithms help organise observations, calculate indicators, monitor changes and explore research scenarios. Data may be delayed or incomplete, and algorithmic outputs require verification and interpretation.

Public data and institutional references

  • Moscow Exchange — ISS

Instrument reference data, reported maturities, prices, yields and trading activity used by market monitoring and shortlist comparisons.

  • Bank of Russia — key rate

Official policy-rate history, provided as an institutional reference for understanding the interest-rate environment. This reference does not feed the public LAB indicators automatically.

  • Bank of Russia — statistics

Official monetary, banking and financial-market statistics for additional research context. These publications are reference material, separate from the MOEX data used in the displayed monitoring indicators.

Reading the public indicators

Watched instruments
The number of bond-and-trading-board entries in Hunter’s current watch universe. It tracks bonds with 1–30 calendar days to their reported maturity on the monitored MOEX boards. The same bond on different boards can count more than once; this is not the entire bond market or a portfolio count.
Hunter coverage
Entries with at least one recorded market check, divided by all entries in the current Hunter watch universe, multiplied by 100. An empty universe gives 0%. This measures recorded coverage, not checks completed today, data freshness or investment quality.
Hot watch
The number of watched entries carrying an explicit priority flag for more frequent market checks. Entry requires this flag; a short maturity or a MOVED signal alone does not automatically qualify a bond. It is a monitoring priority, not a buy signal.
MOVED
A bond already present in the research shortlist whose clean price or yield changed enough versus its previous stored market snapshot to trigger a configured review threshold. Public examples are up to three pending review entries, ordered by their latest observation. The label does not indicate a transaction or a change in portfolio holdings.
Last updated
The date and time the public summary was generated, displayed in UTC. This is not the timestamp of every underlying quote. Each MOVED entry separately shows its latest recorded observation, also in UTC.

Editorial connection

From research to publication

Selected research observations help inform the morning reviews published on Nevaryn Blog. Before publication, findings are checked, contextualised and adapted for readers. Private positions, transaction instructions and operational details remain confidential.
